November To Remember!

By: Stephanie Reynolds

Hello, my fabulous Limestonians!

It’s finally November and we have some amazing things planned for you around the county this season!

Firstly, I hope you read Pammie Jimmar’s front-page article about our Christmas Open House and activities for the holidays. I would like to urge you to hurry to sponsor your tree on our Tinsel Trail this year. The Tinsel Trail is one way we support our local tourism efforts, so by sponsoring a tree, you help tourism! We are filling up fast, and we only have 100 trees, so please order soon.

This is a great idea for businesses who want 24/7 advertising, for families and friend groups to start a tradition, for those who want to remember a lost loved one, and for non-profits. Tourism is a non-profit and I know we non-profits need two things: money and exposure. Sponsoring a Christmas tree on our Tinsel Trail is a great way to let people know how to help you make Athens-Limestone County even more fabulous! People walk around our Tinsel Trail all day every day, and most of the night too, so your business/non-profit/heart will be seen by so many people!

So head to the Athens-Limestone Chamber website, hover over Events & News, then click on Events Calendar. You will see how to register for the Tinsel Trail. (link: https://business.alcchamber.org/events).

Also mark your calendars for the 40th Annual Christmas Open House November 20 – November 22, 2026

We will start with the Tinsel Trail Tree lighting on the 19th. Then Skating on the Square returns, Santa is coming to town for photos and stories. Shop small at the Merry Market. This is an incredible start to the holiday festivities!
