You Don’t Need To Be Fit To Start—But You Do Need To Start To Get Fit

One of the most common things I hear from people who are curious about getting healthy is, “I need to get in shape before I come to CrossFit.” If that’s been your thought too, let me be the first to tell you—you don’t need to be fit to start. You just need to start.

The belief that you must already be in shape before walking into a gym is one of the biggest barriers to improving your health. It’s rooted in fear—fear of being judged, fear of failure, fear of not being able to keep up. But here’s the truth: the hardest part is just showing up. And once you do, everything changes.
